Our Church Ministries
At Washington Apostolic Church we recognize the value that a strong family brings to the community and we encourage families to seek the Lord and grow together as one. We have a wide range of ministries to serve the church family and our community. Each ministry provides fellowship, support, and opportunities to serve. Join us, as we study, pray and encourage each other in our walk with Christ.
Missions
For many years Washington Apostolic Church has helped build ministries from the Sierra Madres Mountains of Mexico all the way to the depths of Brazil. Our church first began ministering to people in Bolivia through Brother Carlos Duran. As the Missions Ministry continued to grow and was able to sustain itself, our eye turned to another needy country, Mexico. We began helping lost children without families in Mexico, as well as Brazil.
Rhema Children’s Ministry (RCM)
Rhema Children’s Ministries (RCM) is dedicated to equipping and educating the children of Washington Apostolic Church with the Word of God. RCM does this by bringing the truth of God’s Word to life in the hearts and minds of the children in an interactive, fun and safe environment. Our children’s bible classes take place every Sunday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm during our Spanish worship service. We have dedicated teachers that are passionate about sharing Jesus with each child.
Rhema Youth Ministry - Rhema 180
Rhema 180 is a dynamic group of young adults from all walks of life. Our mission is in our name. ‘Rhema,’ the Greek word for utterance and spoken word, and ‘180’, a total change in direction or course of action. Under the authority and direction of Jesus Christ, our greatest hope is that you receive a word from God that takes your life in a completely new direction.
Women’s Ministry - Dorcas
Our women’s ministry is committed to growing in the Christ through serving. This ministry is also called Dorcas. Dorcas or Tabitha in Aramaic was a woman in the New Testament who was known for charitable acts. She is an example of daily living and obedience to Christ.
Our women’s ministry seeks to provide the love, growth and fellowship through weekly bible studies, monthly fastings, prayer retreats, and other special activities that will help you grow in Christ and fulfill the purpose that God has for you.
Men’s Ministry - Varones
The men’s ministry seeks to prepare and equip the men of our church to become strong spiritual leaders of their families with the objective of bringing glory to God in their relationships at home, work, community and church.
Weekly bible studies and monthly sunrise services among other special activities are available by which we seek to grow into God-fearing leaders.
Praise and Worship
Worship is what we do at church and our worship team ushers us into the presence of God. We have two worship teams, one for the English Service at 9am and another for all other services usually in Spanish. Our praise team members are passionate about using music for worship and you know it when you hear them play.
Radio Poder
We have a radio ministry broadcasted on WWGB 1030AM radio live every Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. We wish those who listen to the program, identify with it, and be edified through the word of God, while getting informed by listening to the breaking news.
Evangelism
Our evangelism ministry works hard to reach people for Christ in our surrounding communities. Our church members live in many areas suburban areas far from our church and work to evangelism people around their homes and workplaces.
